Greg and Emily first met at Strike Brewing in downtown Campbell, CA. Emily and a few friends heard that Strike did Trivia every Wednesday and decided to check it out. To nobody's surprise, her team did not place very high on the scoreboard. For Greg, he attended trivia night religiously and always dominated the field. That night, he won all by himself.

When they announced the winner, Emily took note of Greg and thought, "wow, he's cute and smart." She decided to approach him at the bar and strike up small talk. Nothing really came out of it, so she decided to sit back down with her friends. Greg's buddy beside him nudged and said, "She was totally flirting with you. You should go talk with her." Greg thought no way such a beautiful woman like Emily would be flirting with him, and he didn't want to bother her quality time with friends. So Greg left it alone, and they went their separate ways.

Several weeks later, Greg and Emily matched on Bumble. After a few text exchanges, they decided to meet up. They still did not realize they'd met each other. It wasn't until 2 hours into the first date that they realized they had interacted at Strike.
